Personally, I don't see why anyone would pay someone to program their scanner.

A) It's really not that difficult
B) How will you learn how to use your radio if someone does it for you?

Just my opinion, of course.

Two reasons for spending the money on good software and taking the time to learn it.

1. What are you going to do when a frequency changes? One of the local crosspatches for 33.44 just changed to 460.3875. You would have to go back and pay to have it redone or do it yourself.
2. What if you go on vacation and you want to take the scanner? Unless you never go anywhere more than 10 miles away, you will need different freqs.

If you still choose to have someone do it, Lentini's is a very good company. $45 is not unreasonable as it can take well over an hour to generate a custom file for someone if you don't have one set up for that area.
