Is this antenna good?

Amazing how antenna technology moves so slowly that a 3-year old thread can be revived and continue along as if it were started only hours ago. Can you imagine this happening on a cell phone forum or a computer forum?

This happens when me so slow to catch up.

Especially at the ripoff prices for both. I could make a scantenna in an hour for free, assuming it was on trash day and I had 10 minutes to go look for junk pieces.
