Is the following possible.

Have a Echolink Station on the computer connected to a radio on very low power to transmit on say a simplex channel so I can talk on my HT while around the house? Basically I can use my HT around the house and anyone connect to my ?Node? on echolink could talk to me without me being connected and using a repeater and not being at the computer.

Yes. A lot of us have low power simplex nodes.
If you are already an EchoLink user you need to create another profile with you callsign with the -L or -R suffix so that you can use Sysop Mode to setup your radio interface.
