I can't answer whether that is the right frequency or not, but I can tell you...you can sometimes go for days without hearing any military traffic. I can count on one hand how much military air traffic I've heard in the past month. Monitoring UHF Air requires LOTS of patience...

aw.... That would mean Airborne Warning correct? The only time you would hear that would be if the AWACS aircraft is in the air and running ops while airborne. As for most of the UHF MilAir, you will only hear the aircraft portion unless your close to the field, say within 10 to 15 miles maximum. Unless your running an good ant at say 30 feet or better.

Go to www.airnav.com and look up the airport your talking about. It will have all the VHF/UHF freqs for Tower, Ground, TRACON, etc listed. They will be current and correct. Then compare them to the stuff listed in the db here. Good hunting.

airnav usually has the most recent up to the date and correct info.. Plus I love the aerial photos of the airport layouts! My best friend uses them to do inputs for Microsoft Flight Sim! Of course when we play.. we do things like fly a 737 400 like a lear!
