To my knowledge, the database files will be updated every few (7-10?, maybe less?) days, and made available via the "Updates" menu item in the PC software. No premium RR subscription will be required.
To me that means I am holding out for a digital scanner of any brand. And compared to the '107, I am holding out for another analog scanner from GRE.How about: "No, I’m holding out for a digital version with a keypad", meaning from the same manufacturer (i.e GRE OEM).
