I heard a 29-5 mark 10-42 tonight.. I hadn't heard of a 29 unit and can't find it on the list. The Dispatcher marked him so it can't be some idot on the wrong channel

True, is a long way. Hamilton County dosent use Safe-T and we have no radios to my knowledge for the network so the mystery remains unsolved!

I figured this one out, it was the same unit marking agian 29-5 10-42, but I heard the dispatcher say go to your talkgroup to mark. I quickly opened up my scanner to see who it was, it is a SEMA unit. Becuase I heard the ISP dispatcher mark them there...

No, Hamilton County does not use any 29 prefixes any more when dispatching sheriff's cars. They used to but that was a long time ago. County cars are 3XX and as posted above, the top brass is car X. Reserve deputies are 15XX.

So what you heard was most likely ISP post #29. You will not hear Hamilton County units on SAFE-T. But sometimes you will hear ISP troopers on the Hamilton Co. system.
