I just copied Winnebago County tell D16 on 155.370 that they were receiving 911 calls about an ISP trooper possibly being assaulted/struggling with someone on I-90 in the 70's mile markers.

Any other info on this from someone local? Normally I wouldn't ask except D16 wouldn't answer any follow-up calls on 155.370 and the 911 dispatcher sounded hyped up. Call it the "cop hunch" but it sounded more urgent than normal.

I did not hear it. But perhaps state may have been responding on 42.440 or 155.520 because those are the frequencies they normaly dispatch on for the time being.....until they switch over to the new system. I live 1 mile north of the ISP District 16 headquarters.

I'm not for sure, but I know that Pecatonica Police was dispatched throught them before and switched to Winnebago Co. because of the price of the radios was going to be $3000+ for the Pec cars. Better for me that way, I can still monitor them with my old junky scanners.
