155.46, known as HF-4, or Channel 7
In the last 5 years, I've heard very little to no traffic on this frequency in the Metro East/Troop 8 area.
Before, I've only heard minor traffic, when STARCOM21 was down or something big going on.
I've still been monitoring it, CSQ for all these years.
This morning, I heard it on a Macoupin County Scanner Feed, with a 2-tone pager tone. It sounded like it was in the distance.
So, I plugged it in at home and held on it. Within moments I heard the exact same 2-tone pager traffic. It was full scale, assuming coming from a Collinsville or Edwardsville tower in Madison County. It was D134 (134 DPL).
Just what I heard, not sure what it's about. FYI.
