Instead of just going to the funny things heard forum, as this is specifically local, I will post it here. Today on 8TAC94, the following broadcast was made by ISP. "ISP District 52 to all units in the metro Indianapolis area: The Speedway at ********** (just in case the store got railroaded by ISP after.. LOL) Just got a full fresh shipment of Krispy Kreme donuts in. Repeating, the Speedway at ******** just got a fresh shipment of Krispy Kreme donuts in. ISP Indianapolis information only at XX:XX hours." Talk about perpetuating the mythos! Love when the State Fair is in and you have a LOT of State Troopers in town for it, get some .... Interesting hearing!

Does ISP regularly used to 8TAC channels? All I ever heard on there were construction crews or occasional police chatter.

Now that I primarily use a Unication, I can't monitor conventional and trunked at the same time. Just wondering how much I'm actually missing?

When I drove OTR the Tollroad Dist. 21 was fairly constant but kinda routine most of the time (traffic stops, disabled vehicles etc.)
Signal strength and voice clarity was better when they were VHF IMHO, same for the Ohio Turnpike. Progress....

A Covid Run was when the ISP units were assisting in transportation of vaccine, testing materials, escorting essential personnel, and/or materials into Indy Hospitals. Still occasionally occurs, but not so much recently. (Yes even CDC has relaxed and allowed to go away almost all its "guidances" on it... Take that as you may.
