Guys I just got a SDS200. Entering ISP dist 13 & 11 / Ameren Il Randolph Co / IDOT, etc trying to figure out which sites I need. Ist time putting them in realy slowed 2oo down.Also have my convention channels in . Maybe its just trial and error, I have a TRX 1 Whistler which is faster scanner.

You might want to watch some You Tube videos on Sentinel usage, and how the scanner works. It sounds like you're confused on how to program a trunking system
It sounds stupid, but make sure your squelch is on. First time I turned my 200 on I wondered why it was hanging on conventional channels so long until I noticed my squelch was at 0.
Looks like your closest sites would be either Sparta or Cora. If you're using a favorites list then what I do is add the whole system and delete the sites I don't need in Sentinel.

OK, thanks. Yes my closest is Sparta, I just don;t know how many I need . Get about 40+ at 1st and I;m weeding them out.
I'm 68 and confused ok. But i:m learning. Was hoping someone would say u need A, B, and C for example and those are all u need for sites .
What sites are showing on the screen when you're receiving the talk groups? That's the one you want.
