Issue with the PRO-164 Maybe someone can help me.

I bought a PRO-164 a few days ago and I use it to listen to the fire depts in my area. I am a volunteer and want to know what other depts are doing. Whenever the scanner picks something up i hear it and even if the signal is full the sound goes away for about a half a second every 5 seconds. And every time this happens the signal meter dissapears and then comes right back and the audio continues. It does this on every channel. This gets pretty annoying when you are trying to hear an address. Is there something i can do to fix it. It does this on every channel in every bank i have set up but if i hit the weather button it doesnt do it. So im not sure what the issue is.

It sounds like you don't have it set up for trunking. Do you?

It sounds like you have the PRIority feature turned on. When it is off, the first line of the display will end with "pri--". When it is on, the display will end with "PRI". Press PRI to toggle it on/off.
