Anybody tried installing U/Aware on an iPad? I installed it on my iPad Pro, but upon launching it gets hung up on the “I accept the terms and conditions“ page. I’ve scrolled through the T&C several times and clicked the ‘Accept‘ box several times, but it just sits there.

Had no trouble at all installing it on my iPhone.

I just tried it on my iPad Air (4th gen) and it installed, paired and operated just fine.
Still not working here, even after deleting, restarting the iPad and reinstalling the app. All I get is this screen, which is a web page that claims to be the U/Aware app.

Update: Fixed. Whoever wrote the app did not account for the device to be in landscape mode; once I turned the iPad 90 degrees the blue Accept button showed up at the bottom of the screen.

However, now I get ‘Bluetooth connection is weak or unstable’ with the radio 6” away from the iPad. I know the iPad is ok as I use it with Beats earphones regularly.

Interesting. The Bluetooth connection issues are now happening on my iPhone as well; it was working fine earlier today.

I just performed a comparison with both my iPad & iPhone. Both seemed to have about the same range for the Bluetooth - only about 25 feet or less. Obviously not meant for long range like walking through the house. Scratching my head because if such a short range...why bother at all? Then I started looking into the app and see it says "Provides remote operation functionality via Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE)."

BLE is explained as: "Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a wireless technology designed for short-range communication with low power consumption, making it ideal for devices like fitness trackers and smart home gadgets. It operates in the same frequency range as classic Bluetooth but uses different channels and protocols to achieve energy efficiency." OK. So now I'm thinking wireless Bluetooth headphones connected to your iPhone or iPad and listening that way. My Bluetooth connected headphones have a MUCH longer range, so I could see myself sitting the iPad next to the scanner and wandering through the house with the headphones and the ability to hear throughout the house.

Now it starts to make sense. Use the setup like I described and it has minimal drain on the battery on the SDS150 while still getting Bluetooth connectivity. You just have to be creative on how you use it. But it's only theory until you test the actual set up...right? So I connected my Bluetooth headphones to my iPhone 15 Pro, then started the U/Aware app & connected to the scanner via BLE & leaving the phone next to the scanner. Worked perfectly. I was able to roam throughout my entire house with the headphones and hear the SDS150 perfectly. I happen to have an older unused iPad that can now be dedicated to the SDS150 whenever I feel the need to do it.

This sound like how I use the bluetooth. I leave my 150 on the cradle charger next to the ipad plugged in and wander around with the headphones. The only battery that has to be recharged are the headphones themselves.

Tried it several times. No joy.
You may want to try before pairing, if you haven't already, on your iPad in the Bluetooth settings click on "Forget This Device" and the scanner Bluetooth options "Reset Pairings". Make sure the scanner is in Pairing mode.
