It's official

Took the technician test this morning and passed with flying colors. Also tried the General test but didn't pass. Not surprised at that since I didn't study for it but it was free to try.

About 10 people took tests this morning. Maybe half were for new licenses and half for upgrades...and I think everybody passed!

Now to start studying for the general test!

EDIT: Ok, maybe it's not official yet as I'm not in the FCC database yet!

Congrats, I just renewed mine for another 10 years. As a matter of fact just got my renewed license in the mail yesterday while I was at work. My nick is my call.

My father took his Tech test back on the (June) 15th, and passed. He would have had his ticket almost 50 years ago, but he could not hear CW (still cannot). Although he did not do as well as I hoped, he missed five, but still passed. (When I did it I aced it, and only missed 4 on my General). I did help him study, and he also atttended one class. His call sign is still pending, but he does plan on going for a Vanity, on he might look into is W0UVX -- his old roommate's call sign when he was in collage 50 years ago.
