Hello, I have a 1098, have downloaded the EZ scan software and am a premium subscriber on RR. I am so confused trying to program this scanner. Ive read the documentation and have spent many hours trying to program. I understand that the RR db is downloaded into EZ scan. but when I do an Import by preferred it still does not come out correctly. I could really use some help. thanks!

WZT... you're not the first one to say that about ezscan LOL, I remember when it was first introduced with the GRE PSR 800 over a decade ago and saying the same thing... This is easy? LOL.

That's a good guide GAW gave you. Give it time, you'll end up finding it's pretty easy.

Yeah coming from old uniden scanners using ARC, (not so easy) EZ Scan was like learning a new language (scan sets=favorites) You will get it! Took me a few weeks then a light bulb went off

What helped me understand the EZ Scan better was I bought the easy to read manual from Scanner Master.
The one for the PSR 800 for $29.95.
That helped me understand it a lot better.

No that's not the one. The one your are looking at is the from Mark's Scanners.
The one I am talking about is from Scanner Master. Go to their website. At the top of the page you will see
different links. Click on books and on the drop menu you will see manuals.
Look at the manual that says GRE Model PSR 700/800.

I presume this is the one you are referring to:

Go back & re-read the description. It's the same thing as what you see if, instead, you went to the "Easier to Read Manual" site. In other words, it's exactly the same as what you see at the link N1GAW provided.
Is that this one available free online that we usually recommend to new users?

So, what you purchased is a 'print out' of the online 'easier to read' manual. Note that in the description, on ScannerMaster's page, it specifically mentions that this is one of the "Easier to Read" manuals.

That's right they are the same. All I am saying it was easier for me to look at the booklet and go back and reference the booklet
then trying to go through the webpage.
Plus I could take the booklet with me to study it instead of going to the computer all the time to look up stuff.
Do what best suits for you.
