I will see what IMPD is carrying over the next few days. I know Speedway FD has a mix of APX 4000's, 6000XE's and Admin Staff has 8000's. Not sure if all the LEA's have the new APX'es in hand yet as they were still doing the new LE codeplugs for some last week.

A vol fire dept southern indiana getting same model.I guess moto plays nice with Harris Systems.
The APX'es play nice with any and all true P25 Systems. (And yes the APX6000XE is a very nice HT! I fell in love with mine within a month of buying it!)

You would be hard pressed to find anything but an APX 6000 in law enforcement service now. There are still some older radios beating around but they are very limited.
IMPD and the rest of Marion County just upgraded from XTS's/XTL's for public safety. They also replaced and updated controllers, microwave, hardline, and other things on the radio system, as well as updated to newest ASTRO-25 FW. And there are a LOT of 8000's in use more so than the 6000's in IN actually. They will be upgrading the government service system and radios soon.

Verified, IMPD patrol using 6000's with keypads. Detectives using 6000's with no keypads. ERT/SWAT using 6000's with keypads. All Marion County Agencies on S1 are using APX's. Most Fire/EMS run the 6000XE's with some 6000 non keypad, and there is a cache of 4000's also. Admin and command have 8000's.
