Wondered if anyone has insight into how this will affect radio systems?

Ex. will they have two police departments or IU police will cover both campuses?


On ERS-OCI Wireless TRBOconnect Con+ Trunking System, Various, Multi-State last week I heard TG 16200 where they said "test for radio networks 2 IUPUI"

I think the change will be gradual and, in some cases, not immediately noticeable.

This article from back in February says that Purdue will continue to house students in some of the IU buildings and Purdue will continue to use the Engineering and Technology buildings. "Purdue has also stated that it plans to create and 'independently operate a 28-acre new site' along the historic Indiana Avenue."

IUPD will patrol the IU properties and areas around them. I have no idea if PU will bring in their own PD or contract IU to do it for them. Unless PU piggyback on the IU trs, or MESA, I would expect them to use SAFE-T unless they put up their own system. PUPD could use MESA, and SAFE-T just like IUPD does if they do operate here.
