Jackson Twp. Fireground

For the past week or so Jackson Twp. FDs have been using Ocean County TRS Back Up Channel OCPS 6 for fireground and comms with county dispatch. They haven't used either of their Fire Tac channels, 1 or 2, at all. Late this afternoon one of their paid firemen signed off for the day, on OCPS 6. At first I was thinking maybe DTV interference on the Fire Tac channels, but that's only sporadic. Maybe a problem with the repeaters? Anybody have any info?

The repeater seems to be working fine for the tac channels,just heard a station 55 officer using it for a call. county then said the chief was on OCPS 6.

Okay, thanks. I haven't heard a thing on either of the Tac channels all week. Everything has been coming over OCPS 6 (units going 10-8, 10-9, coordination at the scene, etc.).

Edit: 12:30 PM - Station 55 hit out for a mulch fire on County Line Road. All comms on OCPS 6.

I don't know if they are back on Tac channels, but I do know they were having problems with them.

Is EMS having issues also? I'm currently hearing them on Township Wide 4.even monoc ALS units are using it.

During a call over the weekend, the units responding were using OCPS 6 to talk to county dispatch, but one of the chiefs was using Tac 1 to talk to either county or Jackson dispatch, so I have no idea what's going on there.
