JCC new digital freq

OK, I found a new digital signal on 151.085. I can here voices via my BC 296D? Any ideas....cound it be part of the new JCC - York digital system. thanks

You are probably hearing the Dinwiddie County Sheriff's conventional APCO-25 channel.

Running Pro96Com on the JCC/York system two days before Christmas produced these CC's and system data.

I was in the Tabb area yesterday around noon and ran Pro96com again with no new data produced. Your noted test must have been at another time. I also visited with a couple of Fire/EMS people at the Tabb station next to the high school and they advised that more activity will start next month. The two school divisions will crank up on the system first to work out the bugs. And off the get go, SWAT type coms will be encrypted when they enter the system. Others will be open.

Also, my scanner was indicating 99% CC decode, and they stated the broadcast was likely from the York High School tower.

Also, Poquoson and Williamsburg declined to join the new system, but the door is still open.

Staying with current systems until they can fund entry to the 800 system. Equipment, training and admin cost would be cheaper if they joined in the beginning, but the Supervisors of JCC and York decided not to wait.

BTW, each will pay for usage cost based on size of population and service provided, so JCC/York will be anxious for the other two to join.

At 1400, I was in Smithfield and heard York school bus 134 reply to her dispatcher. Missed the ID, darn it.
