Found a talk group on Jeff Co 911. They are doing maintenance on their system and Steubenville Police had to go to their channel 2. This is talk group 6992. Steub Pd 2. I had this talk group entered for a long time but never knew what it was. This is definite. They are using it right now

I'll second that. Have heard quite a bit recently. It's legit. It's a Steubenville PD TGID.

Also TGID 6864 is new. Only heard traffic once on it today. Somebody was communicating with the sally port at JCSO I believe. So if you identify further, submit it to the RRDB.

There is a new talk group for the county jail. I have the talk group id at home and will submit it when I get there. This will be used for officers to contact Central Control to advise they are en route to the jail instead of using Sheriff 1.

Also once the rebanded system goes online there will be 3 new MARCs talk groups for jefferson county

they will be

41 Law1
41 Law2
41 Law3

I do not know when these talk groups will be active, they are only allowed to be used in emergencies at this point

Ok, great. I'm thinking I recall Central Control as being TGID 6864, but since I didn't write it down at the time I can't be certain. I'll wait for you to input it.

Testing

A lot of the testing being done the last couple of days is weather related. Also the 911 center had noise when they transmit. Not sure what there problem is. They had problems in the north part of the county too........... http://www.wtov9.com/news/16819947/detail.html

STEUB PD 2 Is in the data base. Thanks who ever entered it............. 8304 should be Pursuit. Its listed as some kind of Wintersville Station 82 which is wrong.

I agree with you about 8304. When I originally submitted it, I submitted 8304 PURSUIT - and they used to have it entered as that. So Im' not sure who thought to change it to 'station 82'.

Jeff Co 911 was going nuts this afternoon with the Mobile Wall Memorial coming to Jefferson Co Airpark. Unsure of the numbers yet bet a minimum of at least 2000 motorcycle escort from Youngstown to Jeff Co. At one time they were stretched from Toronto back north clear to Stratton by the dam. Multiple agency escorts were also present along the way. US 22 was shut down along with state route 43 thru Wintersville. Sheriff Fred was in his glory. Wall will be here thru Sunday. Fireworks display 10:00 Sat nite

I agree with you about 8304. When I originally submitted it, I submitted 8304 PURSUIT - and they used to have it entered as that. So Im' not sure who thought to change it to 'station 82'.

If it was changed, it's because someone sent in a submission stating such. If it's not correct, please send in a submission to that effect so we can keep track of database changes.

Imagine, I had the scanner turned down all day since I was busy with work. Sorry I missed it. From Toronto to the damn huh ? That's quite a line heh. I should have gotten out of the house.

If you check the history it says 8304 Pursuit. But it shows Station 82 Wintersville which is incorrect. OSP is patched in to this TG also. I'm not a paying member. I prefer to enter by hand as I dont really need to add anything except a TG here and there. It's not worth it to me. I paid once and dont travel much. So I have everything I'll need. With all the programs that I paid for it's a breeze to enter a system

Quite a few TGs have been seen but no traffic heard on to identify them.

RID 22902 (a Bergholz FD Radio) has been seen affiliating with:
- 3248 FIRE DIV 1 (which is normal)
- 3472 (unknown, but probably a new FIRE or EMS TG for Div 1)

If you're running closed mode, program in 3472 just in case. If you're running open, make note of it as well.

Lots of other TGs floating around as well that aren't being used but to which radios are affiliating.

I just noticed while doing Unitrunker what I had imported from the old version was TG 65536. Wonder where that came from? Also that TG for Central Control, nobody uses it anymore. From what I heard seems they where never on it or didn't monitor it. That didn't last long

Well I definitely heard Central Control a few times, all in one weekend though. Nothing since. Since then I've heard them calling central control on Sheriff 1 multiple times. Perhaps that's something they'll switch over to after the new radios are all in use and the system is reconfigured - maybe they were instructed to just use Sheriff 1 to avoid confusion for now. Just a guess.

Also i noted more traffic recently on 8304 (what I felt was PURSUIT and felt was mislabeled for a while as Wintersville PD 2). The more I've heard on it recently, it does seem like a Wintersville PD second TG. Perhaps when I originally heard it being called "PURSUIT" on the radios, it may have been called such by Wintersville PD users. When I heard it called PURSUIT it was during that one chase that crossed multiple counties and had other agencies patched in. But there was Wintersville, the SO, Saline Twp, and the OSP (definitely the OSP was patched). I don't know if it's a Wintersville 2nd TG and they just had all the other agencies patched in at the time, or if it is actually a PURSUIT TG that all LE in the county have access to.

Yeah you'll see 0 and 65536 - ignore them. Those are ones used by the system for whatever reason and aren't specific to anything from what I've seen.
