Jeff Davis Co Fire

I was just surfing around the TX webpage and hit on the Jeff Davis County radio listings.
I did NOT see any listings for any fire frequencies listed.
Either for the county or Alpine or Ft. Davis.

I looked at the West Permian lnteroperability Radio Group and didn't see any fire listings there, or in a couple of neighboring counties.

The lack of listings makes me wonder:

Are there fire departments in Jeff Davis county? Alpine or Ft. Davis?
Or does some other agency not listed on the Jeff Davis webpage handle Fire communications/
Or do things just burn uncontrolled?

Jeff Davis county VFD (Mile High Volunteers) and other VFDs in the county use the sheriff channels and TX Fire 1 for comms.

I think it is more of lack of people in the low population counties that are members of RR. I am sure there are a more than a few dispatch and tac channels in the county. Just nobody submitting them.

Just saw the post above me. On that note a lot of counties will dispatch fire off of the Sheriff channels. Saves money on having to maintain a separate fire repeater site.
