And to have the victims walk out when Rader started in on his "Criminal of the Year" speech was a smooth move.

Rader's very sick in the head and apparently isn't the brightest bulb in the box. What really bothers me and ticks me off is the fact he showed no remorse for what he did, and he thinks the world should give him some type of medal for killing all of those people. Even though he got those consecutive prison sentences, I still think the death penalty route should have been taken in this matter.

Watch the expression of the deputy behind him....

That poor guy, First the look of "What did he just say" and then the "Im not going to crack up laughing...Be strong ... Stay steady" look...

Everybody in my shop was rolling in laughter. Kudos to Jeff Davis!

Buckskinner got it in one word -- WOW!! The last time I heard a condemnation like that, I think it came straight from the Bible. I read a good one on the net that I have lost the link for, unfortunately. About the only thing Mr. Davis left out was something about painful, open, festering sores that are the residence of many maggots.

I think Mr. Davis felt Rader wasnt good enough for the maggots. After all Rader is lower then the "Festering Bowls of the earth"

What remorse he did show, I would say was an act. I base this on his "Criminal of the Year" speech.
Mr. Davis and the rest of the victims family played it right when they left the court room when Rader started his speech. They wasn't about to give Rader the satisfaction of knowing he tried to appologize. ( More of that Control issue) The look on his face was classic.

Those statement are absolutely heartbreaking, at least to everyone except that piece of human trash that caused all of this. I am a retired deputy sheriff and this is a terrible thing to say but I'm going to say it anyway. My dad has prostate cancer and probably has two months to live. He's still pretty active but that will end soon. If the Lord gives me the same fate, I will use my remaining time on earth to adminster justice to people like this scumbag that should be adminstered by the state. He would never leave that courtroom alive. I will let God judge me for my actions but I will make sure that people like this don't get to spent 30 years living off the very family and friend's taxes of the people he killed.

I just don't understand how a jury could be so impotent to let this mass murder live. It makes me wonder if our country has become so weak that we can no longer take the necesary steps to protect the people of this nation. If there was ever a case that deserved the death penalty this was it.

There are some misguided people that think life imprisonment is worse punishment than death. But look at the fights the scum on death row continually put up to live. They don't mind living in prision, but they sure do fear death. There are some people that are just too weak to be a productive member of society. I don't know how those jurors can look at themselves in the mirror each morning and know that they let a man that killed so many people, a piece of slime that hurt so many families live. Frankly I hope that the jurors live to regret their cowardly act. They had a chance to stand up for right, but chose to lay down with pigs.

Jim I understand how you feel. There is a difference in vengence and performing the duties of living in a civilized society. I do believe that vengence belongs to the Lord. I feel just as strongly that we are all caretakers of our lives and our nation. This is what makes it mandatory that we calmly enforce the laws of this great nation. This is what requires us to take strong action to remain free. When a juror hears facts such as the BTK case and then votes to execute the murderer, they are not playing god, they are not taking the law into their own hands, no they are acting for the common good of all mankind.

I hope that Radar is killed by some inmate in prison. He deserves to die. But he may survive and become a leader of one of the cults. If that occurs, he will just be a continuing example of the weakness shown by this jury, a weakness growing in this country.

There was no jury. Raider plead guilty. At the time these crimes were committed there was no death penalty in Kansas.
