JEFFERSON COUNTY - The Colorado Department of Transportation closed both directions of C-470 near West Bowles Avenue Monday evening after reports of armed suspects in the area.
Jefferson County deputies later questioned two people but found no guns. No shots were fired. Authorities seemed to indicate that the situation was a misunderstanding.
The closures were only precautionary. The shutdown occurred about an hour before a OneRepublic concert at Red Rocks.
