Jeffco U/D: 2 vehicles head on then both engulfed, initially sounding like at least 3 code blacks still trapped. Expect major interstate delays.

GENESEE - Two people were burned beyond recognition in a crash that blocked several lanes of I-70 Tuesday night.

The Colorado State Patrol says a 2002 Honda was heading east at a high rate of speed when it lost control in between the Lookout Mountain and Genesee exits.

State Patrol says the driver lost control and went over the median into the westbound lanes and crashed into a 2005 Subaru heading west.

Both vehicles burst into flames and at least two people were killed, according to the State Patrol.

Several lanes of I-70 were blocked in both directions while the State Patrol investigated the accident.

The victims' identities were not immediately released.

Pointless to call *CSP

I'm guessing that SOMEONE with a Cell phone called in this car before a crash like this.

I personally have tried to report these street racers playing "Fast and Furious" on road I've had to share with them.

I reported an aggressive driver on the Boulder turnpike, tailgating me, straddeling the shoulder with HID lights on full burn. He even passed BETWEEN vehicles in rush hour traffice. In spite of 10 miles of this behaviour in 5 PM traffic and hand gestures made, including the sunroof open once he passed me, and a single finger salute with both hands. A CSP Trooper actually caught up to this moron. Of course he told the Trooper it was all me... he was just miniding his own business. That last encounter ended up with the CSP Officer telling me that all he'd be able to do was a "he said - he said" ticketing both of us with Careless and let us fight it out in court.

Hey Troop.... was this Trooper correct? Is it CSP Policy to cite both drivers when you're not there to witness the agressive driving? Not much different than the guy that killed several people on E -470 earlier this year.
