As of Noon CST Jefferson County officially quit the old VFD chan, as its been expired for a long time,.. and with the new capabilities of the new radios we all use,... no longer need the old bulky pagers,... All VFD ops are now on the two other Hi Band freqs for the County, especially our -911 freq. On a side note, Motorola Techs were here today tweaking the repeaters, and repairing some things from storm dammage over the last months. One of them was , believe it or not packing an RS PRO-96,..... Amazing reception that lil thing has,.. so now I really want one..
