Jefferson/Berkeley County HELO 2 Frequency

Hi All,

Brain freeze going on here. I have a 4 scanners with the HELO 1 & 2 freqs programmed into them for Jeff & Berkeley Counties. Problem is one scanner has HELO 2 as 468.0250 and the others have 468.0125. Today in Jefferson County there were two medevac incidents at approximately the same time. I could have sworn I heard HELO 2 being utilized on 468.0125. Problem is, I put them up on the database that as HELO 2 being 468.0250. So, apparently I got something backwards somewhere. Can anyone confirm which freq. is correct for HELO 2? 468.0125 or 468.0250?

I have this for Berkeley Co:

468.0000 Helo 1 151.4
468.1000 Helo 2 151.4

But after listening to recording from today, Helo 2 is 468.025. I'm pretty sure I had 468.100 as Helo 2 for Berkeley due to hearing traffic on it in the past.

I would like to confirm that Helo 2 is 468.025 with a PL of 151.4 for Berkeley Co as well. Their WVIRP radios have it as UTAC2. The normal UTAC is something else. Why can't they just have UTAC channels as the standard UTAC channels and call them as such and have the MED channels and call them what they really are? Helo2 = UTAC2 = 458.025/151.4 = MED2 Input/151.4. If they called it MED2 with a PL of 151.4 it would be A LOT easier.

Correct Helo Freqs

Here is the correct information for Jefferson and Berkeley County HELO 1 & 2. Both counties use the same frequenices for HELO 1 and HELO 2, because they are simplex channels.

HELO 1 - 468.000 PL 151.4

HELO 2 - 468.025 PL 151.4

I know these because we use HELO 2 in Berkeley County all the time when we fly people out.
