Anyone know what this frequency is being used for. Sounds like it is BM only / No Repeater function. I'm in Ranson and not getting any mobile units, only the base. It may be part of Harper's Ferry or C&O Canal, but can't be sure. 170.36525 4C5 NAC

Thx.

Dispatch is likely simulcasting on all Repeaters, but the mobile unit is on a different channel/repeater.
C&O has 4 independent repeater
C&O 1 = 170.3625
C&O 2 = 169.6875
C&O 3 = 166.3500
C&O 4 = unknown

Also, so what is 172.75000 used for? Is for farther south in VA? I'm hearing traffic on that for the area of Washington Co, I believe for C&O canal.

Thanks all!

What does non-decodable mean? Encrypted or a foreign trunking format? ...or is it just a data link?

What PL/DPL or NAC are you hearing on this one.

My old notes [before NTIA rebanding] show it as an input for the NPS at Harpers Ferry

5C2 NAC Often times, you'll hear a dispatcher put out a lookout or notice and they'll be simulcasting on this frequency and the Harpers Ferry Park Frequency of 170.05000 5C2 NAC. Not all the time, though. but on the 172.7500 frequency I hear a lot of references to the canal. That's why I was curious. Disregard my question about the UHF freqs. Thx.

maybe Central Dispatch and they key up all repeaters ? [not uncommon], since we now have 3 different NPS Sites being heard

170.0500 $5C2 is Anteitam National Battlefield
