Just got in on this one. Some sort of unknown substance detected in the river-Potomac?-in the area of Rt 340 and Harper's Ferry. Companies from Jefferson, Loudoun, and I believe Berkely involved. They are trying to locate the source from a tributrary, etc. State Environmental Protection, WV Emergency Management, and I believe Federal Agencies have been notified. Will update as info becomes available. If anyone has additional feel free to post. 1506hrs-Now believed to be heating oil.

Berkeley was involved as well. I was listening while working on the cars, so I didn't pay a lot of attention. Anyone know what it was?

EDIT: After going back and listening to the audio from the incident, it was about ~150 gallons of deisel fuel spilled into a creek from a barrel off 186 Campground Road in Harper's Ferry near Federal property. They were calling TG 1901"Region 2 Fire". Also, while I was working, I do recall hearing analog traffic which sounded like Harper's Ferry talking about fuel in a creek.
