853.6625 is the new active P25 voice channel that testing has been done on.

Testing begun today around 9:45
Wintersville Fire/ EMS and Police made the switch today all other depts hopefully soon.
The county is now live on the new IP simulcast. Techs are still working out issues with misprogrammed / nonworking radios as well as those agencies that for whatever reason haven't made the switch yet.
The old system is still on line, in limited capacity. But nearly all agencies are on the new IP simulcast now

Hah. No kidding. Although It's really pissin in my cheerios that the IP Simulcast still denies all traffic but for 41 and Belmont CI. I can't believe that it is "OK" with MARCS that ODOT, DNR, and other state agencies are denied access. I'm sure that'll change.

So Far So Good
Well it has been a couple of days listeing to the new MARCS-IP system and it is So far so good. It sound great with the new radios. Some love them, some don't like them yet but I believe it will get better in time. It allways takes time to get the bugs out. But the funny thing is I heard last night is that OSHP can not scan the new system and I am thinking they don't have a radio system for MARCS-IP yet in their dispatch consol. But I hope all go over to it soon.
