I have a BCD536HP and 436HP and neither one will receive anything on the Sheriff's system other than Centerpoint channel. Does anyone know what is going on? I can pick up Bham FD dispatch and Bham PD South. Weird but need to be able to receive all the channels.

What control channel are you using?

Hearing them fine using 855.6875 control channel.

However they might be a system issue. I have been loosening it several times this evening.

I reprogrammed the control channels manually today and still only receiving BFD dspatch, BPD South, and JCSO Ctrpoint. I don't know what changed but something did. I did make sure 855.6875 was in there but didn't seem to make any difference. I am using my BCD536HP currently and trying to get it working then copy everything to the 436. Any help would be great.

Control Channel -

If I may suggest, be sure that only 855.6875 (Simulcast) is being used by your scanner.

I just picked up Jeff Co S.O. Bessemer & Fultondale Dispatch moments ago on Simulcast.

as Julian1 suggested 855.6875 is your best bet as it a simulcast channel. That is the only reason that I can think of that you would get JSCO Centerpoint and BHAM PD South. I actively broadcast the JSCO Centerpoint and BHAM PD East feed using the Huffman tower. I never see BHAM PD SOUTH on that tower although I do see Bham PD North.

I am not familiar with the scanners you have as I use a computer instead of a true scanner but Is there possibly a priority set for these channels? I know that with most scanners you can set priorities on talkgroups so one will be heard more than another.

Also you might want to check that the tags are correct. Was it downloaded from here? One way to check is to listen to my Centerpoint feed on broadcastify and when you hear (and see) a centerpoint channel on your scanner check to see that the same transmission is repeated from the computer feed a few seconds later.

Just a thought.

I was having problems receiving the system on one radio but not the other during the past few days. My BCD396T wasn't picking up the SO talk groups like my BCD325P2 was. I keep both in ID search and lock out Bham, Bess, and only listen to the Bess/River SO group. I found myself locking out a lot of TGIDs from other groups during that time.

I changed the Simulcast from "control channel only" and changed it to scan all frequencies, and it started receiving JeffCo SO again. I was also receiving the Gilmore traffic on the frequencies for license WQDX703 .

Associated SO licenses for the trunked system are listed by the FCC as: WNHV507, KNNJ873, WPTC288, WNGY726 WQDX703 WQEA798

All of the frequencies for the licenses shown by the FCC are not listed in the RR database. I used the frequency lists from the FCC database for programming.

WQDX703 - Gilmore location for example:
851.0875
851.2000
851.3125
851.5875
851.8375
852.1125
852.1625
852.5625
852.7250
853.0625
853.3625
853.7500 control

These frequencies are not listed on the RR database for the Simulcast.

They are included in the FCC license frequencies for WNHV507 for both the Ruffner Mtn. and the Rock Mtn. repeater locations. There are 18 frequencies total on the RR list, but the FCC lists 22 frequencies on the license for each of those locations.

855.9625
856.9875
856.7375
857.0875

Maybe that could explain some of the missed traffic if you don't have those frequencies programmed into your system and are not using control channel only mode.
