I'm clueless about Jefferson County's unit ID's! I'm now living in their patrol area but I haven't really listened to them since the 80's when they used those 3 VHF-LO frequencies.
I remember "139" which I think is "439" now, but I would really like to know more, especially the "contract car" ID's for Clay. HELP!

BUMP!
I also live in Clay and I got a PRO-96 for Christmas and I'm itching to listen to the contract cars, among other things.

Mabey between two of us we'll figure it out!
The 96 has been a good radio for me, had it almost 3 years. I did have to replace the on/off volume POT & the keypad. If you haven't already done it, get the 800Mhz antenna!

I'll have to check into that. I'm really surprised at the lack of accessories that came with the Pro-96, when I got my BC246T it came with rechargeable batteries, power cord, and pc cord. The Pro didn't come with anything except for the manual and two battery holders, and antenna. But I like it anyway.

Is it possible that the Clay contract deputies are on the Center Point talkgroup? Tonight I heard a unit being dispatched to a call in Pinson, who also has contract deputies, but I also know that both Pinson and Clay are also patroled by non-contract deputies. We'll figue it out eventually!

BTW where and for how much did you get the 800mhz ant.?

JeffCo SO ID's

I live in Center Point and try to keep up with the CP TGID. As for the ID's of the Units in the Center Point, Pinson, Clay area, I am pretty sure that they all run in the 43x to 44x (430's and 440's) range. At least all the one's I've heard and hear are in that range. As for which Unit/Units are the contract units for Center Point, Clay and Pinson, I haven't been able to clearly identify their Unit #'s. I would hope that someone had a listing (even an old listing) of what Units were working in what area. I guess the only way to get a good fix on what Unit is in what area is to listen to one TGID and note what Unit #'s get called and specific addresses for the calls, then check a map to pin down Unit and location.

Yep, they are on the Centerpoint channel ("Channel-1"), I just thought someone might have the specific callsigns/ID's. I know it's not like Birmingham where the radio ID usually matches the # on the car.
