I've noticed two low profile antennas similar to the ones pictured here in addition to the 800Mhz whip on the trunk of most Jefferson County Sheriff vehicles. Any idea what these are used for?

Thanks, I thought it was for Mobile Data. BTW I've noticed 3 roof mounted VHF whip antennas on some of their vehicles, I assume these are for LoJack, Project Lifesiver or "Tiger Units" - something to do with direction finding / triangulation.

Three Antennas / Four Antennas -- VHF

Four VHF Antennas in a square pattern > Lo-Jack

Three VHF Antennas are used to track a transmitter placed in money bags of bank robberies. I don't know the official name of those devices.

Cheers!
