I hope this is in the correct location. I moved to this area (Jefferson County) a couple of years ago. I was cleaning up the basement and came across an old scanner of mine. It's a Radio Shack PRO-2046 and I thought about when I was living at my old home and the things I would hear on the scanner. I want to get this going again and was wondering were I could go to get a complate list of Jefferson County freqencies. I'd like to program in Fire, EMS, HP, County, and all of the local Police stations. I actually have 2 applications for the Cedar Hill fire department, one for my son and one for myself and would like to listen to the calls. I found this: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=1528 Is that a complete list? Or is there more. It looked like that was all of them.

You will also want to add the MSHP to your scanner found here:

http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?aid=1061

I"m not sure how many channels you have available to dedicate to them but JeffCo falls in Troop C.

I would suggest adding 42.00, 42.02, 42.14, 42.12, 42.10, 42.26, 42.78.

The frequency pair of 42.10(dispatch to trooper) and 42.78(trooper to dispatch) will be for your area. You need both frequencies programmed in as the system isn't repeated, thus limiting your range on monitoring 42.78.

I would also suggest adding 155.37(point to point), 155.73(sheriffs net), and 155.4750(law mutual aide) into your scanner as well.

And if you ever get bored you can program in some of the saint louis county frequencies found here: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=1573

Happy scanning and good luck with your firefighter endeavors.
