Information from the FCC Database:

http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/licenseFreqSum.jsp?licKey=1250133

The database doesn't indicate exactly what they're used for, but you can monitor them for police activity. Also, notice in the Power Output column the frequencies with a power output of 2.00 (2 watts). You will have to be very close to the location they are transmitting from in order to hear them.

453.9375 PL 179.9 is the UHF Downlink to 46.42, Morris County Fire, which JTFD is Dispatched on. Be aware that you only hear the Mobiles on this Downlink, not Dispatch.
The Downlink listed in RR Database is Police Mobiles only, no Base was heard .

Wow, I have lived in NJ for over 10 years and have never even heard of Jefferson Twp. I had to look it up on Google maps just to see where it was LOL

Guess it depends on where you live, I don't know must of the towns in Goucester county....

New Jersey isn't a big state, but i'd hate to paint it!

Is a very large town by north Jersey standards and has a 8 lane highway(Rte 15) running through it.
