• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hi, I live in Lake Arthur (about 10-15 miles south of Jennings, La). I always used to be able to hear both sides of the Jennings Police Department crystal clear, but recently all I can hear is the Dispatch, i tried monitoring both the input and output frequencies, but can still hear only dispatch. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Jennings police dept has switched to the Jefferson Davis Parish LTR UHF Trunked radio system with the Sheriff Dept,I believe their new talkgroup is 0-19-010 ,but not totally sure, its very hard to get accurate information because they dont use their radios very much.I dont know what scanner you have but it will have to be a Trunktracking Scanner capable of monitoring LTR radio systems, I hope this helps.Tony.
