Jersey Milair Freqs.

Hey all. What are the best frequencies for central/north Jersey? Specifically the skies around Union County. Thanks all.

I would start with the milair freqs from the ZNY ARTCC. Don't use the FCC lists - use the ones that follow them

New York (ZNY) Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Since these are known frequencies, they can be used to check how well your system is performing in these ranges and whether any improvements are needed.

It might be a bit of a stretch being you're so far inland, but there are a few refueling routes in the area - specifically AR777 which is under ZNY's control

I'm in UC also Just a little farther away than your UC.

The AR's do get you some pretty good traffic and they usually go out pretty far, as many are about FL240 (24,000).

You might want to join the www.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MilRadioComms/ , I believe they have a couple people in your area. You can send out a email there, too. Good luck!
