Any legit person would be able to give you some kind of tracking number in a reasonable time frame

I call for a ban on members who dont participate in the forum selling items (esp high priced items)

At the time of listing he was a member for 8-9 months and had 3 posts total.
He now has 15 posts but 12 of them are from the FS thread.

Maybe some people just read and dont participate, thats fine but they shouldnt be posting high priced items then.

Do a paypal escalate to claim right now... dont wait.
Sellers can pull their money out of paypal and close the account and you get screwed. Paypal will send you back a generic, we are sorry but there is not enough funds in this persons account to refund.

Everything thinks paypal is 100% secure/safe ITS NOT.. not even close.

To clear this up. It has not been 22 days. The package was mailed on Feb. 6, 2009 as the seal shows. The image blown up looks blank because it is the 6th copy and the instructions say exactly. Please print in English and press firmly, apparently I didn't press firmly enough.

I included both the original image and the updated one in which I wrote over so you guys can make out the print. On the screen at the post office, it said it would take between 9-12 days for the package.

If you actually look closer, you will see that the image is not blank. As well, if you know anything about computers, you cannot blow up an image that large, it will become pixelated, and you cannot make out the print, especially something carboned copied six pages deep.

Attached are the images. Ryan has not attempted to contact me in any way or form. But, to only parade around a forum. Why not contact me?

This happens very often, which is why many prefer not to do business outside of the country, what ever country that may be.

I don't know if the item was coming from or going to Canada. However, I can tell you that a few months back I shipped a receiver to Canada (I am in Ohio). When I shipped it out, Priority Mail I think, I got a CP # (that would be Canada Post for those of you in the US).

During the whole trip, it was _never_ possible to track it on the USPS site.

Once it got over the border and through customs, it was possible to track it in Canada en route to its destination via Canada Post.

I had been told by the Post Office later on that supposedly there was a way (if I wanted to pay an additional fee) to get the tracking information on it on the USPS site.

I was fortunate that my transaction did not get held up. Sorry to hear yours did. But I'm glad it all worked out fine and somebody's name has been cleared.

This shouldn't sway anyone from shipping to Canada from the US. Just be prepared that you have to fill out some paper at the USPS when you ship it out and you likely won't be able to track it until it gets into Canada and is trackable via Canada Post.

I would like to interject a few points here:
  • A great many people are posting in this thread (and the original FS thread) that should be keeping their fingers off of the keyboard.
  • Those that are most vocal, including the OP, have visited the forums since jhill76 posted the information about clearing customs this afternoon and yet are strangely silent at this point. This includes chrismol1 and torontokris neither of whom should have anything to say on the subject at all since they were not part of the deal.
  • To those people who are posting in this (and the original FS thread) that were not part of the deal, please re-read the sticky thread at the top of this forum index.
  • This type of constant comment about things that don't directly concern you are no longer being tolerated.
Replies to this post will be considered off topic and will be suitably dealt with.
