Co-worker of mine company went from using a older radio system to putting in repeaters. They had a old Job Comm JBS446D which worked decent has nice whip antenna on the back side.
Question have for the forum, we were going to use the base comm for office at community center we are already licensed UHF so thats not a problem. Most my research shows 2.5watts out for the unit.
With out having to spend the money and it doesnt work.. curious if anyone has used external base antennas on these and if it improved the range or did not help.
We have 8 miles of road the mobiles work great, portable to portable depends.. dont mind spending money on base outside antenna if it will work.
