I use Unitrunker from 2 locations (Home and Cottage). By doing so I get 2 distinct sets of files, although on the same wide area system. (Bell Fleetnet Zone 1)

Is there any way to join those 2 files together so in the future I will have 1 big file in both locations instead of having one set of users at one location and another set of users at the other location?

In other words, can I join the 2 unitrunker.xml files into one?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You could continuously import / export the system between the two installations.

Do you run both installations at the same time?

If not, you could use a USB stick and have both installations use the data there by carrying the memory stick with you.

On the main Options tab, there's a place to specify the file path to your data files.

Copy the files to the new location (to your USB stick), update the data file path and re-start the program.

Thank you for your reply Unitrunker, and thank you for all your hard work.

Let me explain this in other words....

While at the cottage this summer I monitored the Bell Fleetnet Zone 1 system, and gathered a large amount of data.

I would like to merge this data with the large amount of data I presently have on the same system but monitored from home. I would like to merge all the UID's/RID's into one file.

When/if this is completed I would then put the merged file on a USB memory stick and use it at both locations.

My question is, how do I merge the two seperate files?

Thanks, Ralph VE3EUK

Ideally you would copy the Unitrunker.xml to the other machine and import it into the program. Where a discrepancy between the two is found, the program would prompt you to resolve it (eg. pick one or the other) just as it does for the RR DB download.

Unfortunately, the import doesn't work this way so - for the moment - I don't have a clean way to do this.
