Jonesboro has been oddly quiet last night and this morning. Has there been a change anybody knows of? Saturday night and ASU home game and next to no radio traffic seems very strange.
BCD996P2, no changes/updates in a long time, and on AWIN. There has been traffic both JPD and JFD but very little. At times JFD dispatch is a computer voice slowing reading the call with no response from unit dispatched on the assigned fire ground. Maybe everyone is behaving in Jonesboro this weekend. Not normal to hear them so quite on Saturday night.
Yeah, I saw back in early August that everyone was going to AWIN from whatever they were on before that. Typical automated dispatch, it sounds. Usually they will respond on another TG. Sometimes, at least in bigger cities, it'll say "respond ___" where ___ is a talkgroup they've assigned to that call.
Make sure all of your fire service types are enabled. Could be it's on fire-tac or fire-talk, not sure.
As of right now, the only thing that has changed is the county fire channels. They have gone to AWIN Phase II. Everything else (JPD,JFD,CCSO,Etc.) is phase 1 at the moment but they are talking about upgrading to Phase II as well. If you don't have a phase II scanner this could be part of the issue. I do know the towers in the area have been upgraded to Phase II already.
