Sounds like quite the flyover with the various aircraft taking part.
Anyone have an idea of frequencies to scan?
I’m in CT for the 4th, so it’s unlikely I’ll see them - or even hear them, but here’s to hoping!
Happy 4th.

edit: How To Watch The July 4th Flyover Of Boston
The flyover will be led by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, followed by B-1, B-2 and B-52 bombers, F-15 and F-22 fighters and U.S. Marine Corps F-35 fighters.

Depending on where in CT as they leave Boston heading West, they will likely cross over CT enroute to NYC

Oh yeah - I'm in the tristate area. So i'm hoping to look North and pick them up as they head towards the Hudson. I'll see if I can find a track on an ADS-B as well.
I also just realized I only have my 800 MHz antenna with me.

edit: Seems to be some Thunderbirds chatter on 141.175.

The only freqs I was able to snag so far are the 141.175 as someone said above and 228.9 seems to be the event controller.

Two nice videos from the 4th of July Salute to America flyover. Nine minute long Thunderbirds preparation and takeoff and all four waves flying over the Boston harbor.
