DENVER - Denver Health and Hospital Authority is in the middle of a mass casualty drill to prepare for possible disaster situations at this summer's Democratic National Convention.
Seven hospitals in the metro area along with Denver Fire and Police are participating in the drill.
Volunteer victims will go into Presbyterian St. Luke's emergency room and through a decontamination tent that is fully operational.
Staff members will prepare for the incoming patients by setting the tent up and getting into Level C HazMat suits.
The full scale drill began at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until noon.
