Has anyone heard any rumors for when radioshack's competitor to the 396 d will be coming out? Don't get me wrong I like the 396 d, but i don't see paying that much for the scanner. one place online was charging 850 before tax and shipping. Besides i like the radioshack line of scanners

LOL thats just crazy. Dont expect everyplace to be charging that much. If I remember right I think its going to be in the $525 - $550 range.

There hasn't even been a rumor that they will offer up a competing model, so I think you need to get to that stage first!

Don't get me wrong I like the 396 d, but i don't see paying that much for the scanner.

If GRE does come out with a competitor, I would expect it to be priced similar to the Pro-96 and BCD396t. In the $500 range.

that's the price i saw at some scanner website price 849 so i dunno but you know gre will probably comeout with a competitior

That's the list price. It is expected to be the same street price as the BC296D. The list price of the 296 is up there, too.
