Go to Broadcastify and access the feed you want to add to Alexa, then look at the url for that feed in the address bar of your browser. The number at the end of the url is the number of the feed (as in the example shown for San Antonio in the instructions).

Cool! Let us know if you need more help. You can set up as many feeds as you want in the Radio Browser skill. I have 4 in mine. You'll know if you have the skill loaded properly ("Alexa open radio browser") and an ad starts playing.

When you are listening to that feed on your laptop, is it using the Broadcastify feed? Post the link that you use on your laptop to connect to the feed.

Were you able to find the feed number for the feed that you want to receive through the Alexa skill?

no, i tried but all alexa tells me is that there is an issue and cant link to it.
.
Go to the page linked below, it shows the feeds available for Marion county. Click on the "Listen" button (small black arrow) for the feed you want. When the window opens for the feed player, look at the url address at the top of that player window. The feed number is at the end of the url as shown in the help page.

There are 2 Indianapolis Police feeds listed. Below are the URLs you will need to add to your Alex "Radio Browser" skill.

Hopefully this info will get you going on Alexa.

still trying but for some reason my echo cant load the channel. gonna try one that works from examples to see if loading correctly

update: used the example they give in the instructions on broadcastify and when i copied everything just like that, alexa says cant play and to view what sounds like on the skills website you can view the "epic?" view section you can find possible fixes. now gotta figure out what area this is

It is saying to view the F-A-Q (FAQ) on the skill website.

When you are adding a Stream URL to the Alexa Radio Browser skill for Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, copy and paste the station name and url exactly as shown below:

Station Name:

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police

Stream URL:

https://broadcastify.cdnstream1.com/32602

(I added it on my Alexa and it works fine.)

Those are the url links for the browser page that the player is on, not the actual stream.

The actual stream url that needs to be used with the Alexa Radio Browser Skill will be:

https://broadcastify.cdnstream1.com/[stream number]
