Now that I have an outdoor antenna for all of my aviation and public safety stuff, I have a wire going to the attic which is now unused. I also have a BCT15 which I just use to monitor the local UNICOM. I was toying of swapping out the antenna for a low band specific antenna and using the 15n for low band only. Any thoughts or comments??? what antenna would work BEST in an attic for low band? I know this has been asked a million times but look for the Many thoughts wandering around in my head

I have a mobile low band antenna indoors I use with a PCR-1000. It works OK but weak signals are not the greatest.
I set up a 1/2 wave folded dipole, also indoors that goes to my BCT15X and a good improvement.
I have a low band Orion I have been able to catch some CHP traffic at 700 miles with the dipole.
Not as good as an outdoor 6 meter beam, but works.
Cheers
