...............from Advanced Specialties. They have one left. This is the first time I've ever ordered a new scanner before I saw reviews from other owners. USPS priority mail should have it here tomorrow, as I'm only about 35-40 miles away .

I was going to drive down & pick it up, but $7.99 shipping vs $30+ in tax........a no brainer, I'll wait one day. Hope this one is a winner.

I would get it but i do NOT like the setup. It looks complicated to figure out. Only a few buttons wheres the setup key etc. Thats why I'm happy with the Radio Shack Pro96 very easy to program.

Let us know your impressions! Although I have a Pro-106, I am having some regrets about buying the Pro-107. I love the radio, but bought it before I realized a digital version was coming out. If I see positive reviews I may consider selling the 107 and taking the plunge ($$$) for the new radio. I think I read that the RS version will not be out yet and will have less capability (and maybe a lower price).

Anyway, best of luck with your new toy!!!
Regards,
Bob

Actually, it's not that bad. If you like easy setup you can use the Simple display mode which is the default setup. Then you can import from the included database directly to the scanlist you choose, then select the scanlist, then press the play button.

Keep us posted when you get it.
I am interested to see how the digital audio sounds and how the audio power is.
I'm hoping the smaller chassis does not mean smaller volume...
Best of luck.

the 800 is here

... I was on the line with scanner master buying something at 12:30 today and they told me the 800 just came in the door as we were speaking, so I got the first one... I'm so glad I didn't pull the trigger on the home patrol, I knew better.........
