Greetings.

I'm an East Coaster moving to Milwaukee. I'll be passing through OH along the way. Is there a particular agency that patrols I-80? I'd like to set up the scanner before I head out. I should be passing through:

Youngstown
Warren
Elyria
Norwalk
Fremont
Toledo
Bryan (I-90...same question as above, please)

Thanks for any info you can provide!

You won't actually pass through any of these, you'll pass just south of Toledo. If you follow the turnpike all of the way through Ohio, you'll run through the following counties:

Mohoning, Trumbull, Portage, Summit, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Erie, Sandusky, Ottawa, Wood, Lucas, Fulton, and Williams...

You can look through the RadioReference database for the freqs for the counties...

The Ohio Turnpike is actually both I-80 and I-90 once you get past Cleveland (for the most part)...It's patrolled by the Ohio State Highway Patrol District 10, based in Berea, Ohio...

You will find them on these Freqs, as well as the statwide Ohio MARCS digital system:

155.68500 - 100.0 PL - OSP Turnpike (West)

155.68500 - 146.2 PL - OSP Turnpike (East)

155.79000 - 100.0 PL - OSP Turnpike (West)

155.79000 - 146.2 PL - OSP Turnpike (East)

No problem! I used to live near the IN Toll Rd, and I currently live in Cleveland, so you can see I travel them a bit!

If there's anything else, let me know!

WOW THIS WAS A WHILE AGO. I was listning in last night on those freq's, and heard that a Cadillac walked away from a trooper in the tripple diggets. Didn't hear if anybody picked him up but would've been nice to hear the ending. I am right by the RT57 TPK Exit (Elyria) so it comes in pretty clear.
