I am programming my scanner to hear the Upper Maryland Eastern Shore Consortium. I have programmed the control channel and the alternates. The control channel is 868.98750. I was informed that to listen to certain channels (ie. Qfire-Tac 2) I can use the decimal 24688. I am assuming that I would program this channel as 868.24688. Am I correct or if I am not, how does it work? I am working with a Radio Shack Pro-197. Thank you for any and all help.

No, the 24688 is most likely the talk group, not the frequency.
Which software package are you using for your programming?

Program 24688 and all other talkgroups as TGRP objects.

Use the Programming Shortcuts under my signature.
