New to radios, so maybe K-deck frequencies are the same as A-deck, but I was just trying to find the frequencies so I could listen around to what is going on in my area. Would love if someone could clarify for me, share the frequencies or help me find them on this sight. Thanks y'all.

Ok thanks. So to use those frequencies I would need a radio capable of picking up a trucking system?

Yes. .In the Phoenix area the SDS100 or SDS200 work best due to the simulcast system they use. These scanners are expensive but the other digital trunked scanners just do not handle simulcast well. (There are dozens of threads in the Uniden forums on this topic.)

"Trunked." Also, digital P25 Phase 2 simulcast. Currently the SDS100/SDS200 from Uniden is the only radio that has that capability. Either that or a Unication receiver. Other radios can receive simulcast broadcasts, but results are generally hit and miss, unless you setup a fixed directional antenna. The SDS series, on the other hand, is designed to operate in the simulcast environment.

Phoenix Fire K-Deck is digital and A-Deck is analog.

Welcome to the forums, BTW. A lot of great help here. All you have to do is ask.

I moved here 7 years ago and didn't know anything about the radio systems here. I have learned a LOT from the users here.

Ive an "old" Uniden BCD996P2, capable of Phase II scanning- it's only a couple hundred on ebay or ?? maybe even less! and you can program it yourself. if you get one, return to RadioReference for help if needed. This is the radio I currently use. Radiochuck is right, my scanner doesn't handle Simulcast well (don't worry about what that term means, basically the more $$$ you spend, the better the reception etc)
