My 1103 came with this length of wire that plugs into the side of it. Can i put a alligator clip on the end of that wire and attach it to another longwire antenna outside ?
I want to make a longwire outside and stretch it from the corner of the garage to a anchor point out back, Its getting cold out and i will hibernete for the next couple months and will listen to the radio.

I am new to this and just want to improve reception.

Any help or pictures of your setup would be great
