"Motorola, MPSCS and KCCDA Administration agree that we would be pushing too late into December to go-live with the system this year. Therefore, the go-live date we are now targeting is January 17th – 19th or 31st – February 2nd."

2 UHF Fire antenna sites will be moving before the end of the year:
  • Haverhill Water Tower Site – Moving to KCCDA 12th St. Tower (8595 S. 12th St.)
  • Richland Leased Tower Site – Moving to KCCDA Augusta Tower ( 305 W. Jefferson St.)

The MPSCS in conjunction with our vendor Motorola Solutions Inc will be performing work at the below site in preparation for simulcast integration. This work will require a site outage which will disconnect all registered portable and mobile subscribers from the site. Surrounding RF sites will provide coverage for mobile subscribers while portable subscribers may experience limited coverage in the area.

To allow for issues such as system usage, dispatch emergencies, and weather events (fading), the window for completing this work is scheduled as follows:
5109 (Ravine Road)12/21/2022 from 8AM (0800) to 5PM (1700)
5104 (Adams Park)1/11/2023 from 9AM (0900) to 3PM (1500)
